American Girl Quilt

For Valentine's Day I decided that I wanted to make something for my kids. The girls and I have been talking about how to decorate their rooms and what color scheme they would like. T decided she wanted red and black (with a little white), and K decided that bright colors would be fun (after a little help from Mom, seeing we already had some fun bright pillows). I thought it would kill 2 birds with one stone if I made quilts for their beds. So I did. I made them each a fun soft quilt (they call them "Movie quilts") and then I got a quilt top done for each girl.
I had extra fabric left over from the quilts and decided that their new American Girls, Julie and Ashley, needed to have matching bedding. So with the scraps I made a couple cute, quick, little quilts.
The girls loved them, and so do Julie and Ashley, I am told.

Quilt tops to come soon!

Clay Beads

My lil sista M learned how to make the cutest clay bead necklaces from a friend, needless to say, I love them and had to have one of my own. Because she now lives within 15 minutes of me, we get together often and do crafty things. (and I LOVE IT!) So two weeks ago she helped me create this perfectly wonderful necklace and matching bracelet. I love them so much I have literally come up with outfits just so I can wear them... never done that before!
Aren't they so cute! Sorry about the headless pic, but I had not a stitch of makeup or a hair on my head that was fixed. ;)

Christmas in March?

I found these DARLING stocking patterns at Thimble Blossoms. I was so excited when I got my pattern in the mail I immediately started putting fabrics together and making plans for all the family stockings. This first one is my little MAN's. I know, I know, he is not, and never will be as excited about this cute stocking as me, but I don't care! I love it!
Now I have 8 1/2 months to finish the other 4. Who knows, maybe I will make some as gifts too. Too stinkin' cute not to share!

Happy Stitchin!
